We will be listed at Shoutcast.com, Winamp Radio, and Apple Computer's iTunes whenever we are on the air. For now, our show producers (...that's you, if you are a KWC host) are still testing intermittantly. Tim Prellwitz, Audio Engineer for LittleRock Studios Tumwater and owner of Timilen Company has offered to help us making some aduio bites and commercials. We also are intent on converting the AV Recordings made at our Nationals into a compressed audio format called MP3 for broadcast on KWCUSA Internet Radio. For now, we are inviting all who are interested especially KWCUSA and KWC hosts world wide to contact us and join in the fun by taking a weekly one hour time slot and becoming a DJ for KWCUSA Internet Radio. It's free!


Software Links

Listeners and DJ's alike will need to have an internet radio player compatable with what we are using. If you are using a computer running a version of Microsoft Windows you will want: WinAmp


To be a DJ for or have a show on KWCUSA's Internet Radio you will also need to install the ShoutCast plug-in for WinAmp from: ShoutCast.com


In addition, you may need to install NetMeeting to obtain an MP3 codec.

There are a number of other plug-ins for WinAmp to be found at the WinAmp website. Some are useful for DJs, and some enhance the listener's experience.

Radio

Follow KWCUSA National Hostess Miss Marcella's lead and march right down to your local radio station and ask if they would like to have an interview with you concerning KWCUSA contests.

Make sure to be prepared by bringing flyers and other information.

Like Miss Marcella, you should arrive a little early for your interview with your favorite radio DJ, ...even if it makes you a little nervous waiting for your first radio interview to start.

As you can see, Miss Marcella's interview with "Sunny" 102.1 FM's Rhys Davis in Aberdeen turned out to be a lot of fun! (It will be aired on Monday morning Sept. 17.)

FM 102.1's DJ Rhys Davis rhys@sunny1021.com stopped by Aberdeen's Route 101 Bar & Grill later that evening at Miss Marcella's sing-vitation and became part of the story she was writing for the NW Karaoke and Entertainment guide on Dave's Karaoke at the Route 101 Bar & Grill.

KWCUSA USA Finals Hostess Miss Marcella has contacted NW Harvest, and there will be a canned food donation box at our USA National Finals. Everyone attending is encouraged to donate as the enter.
